Program overview
The Fellowship in Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) is a 12 month advanced training program for ENT specialists who wish to further their education in the field of Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Sinonasal Disease Management. The program offers comprehensive education in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of various conditions including complex nasal pathologies, skull base disorders, sinonasal tumors, nasal polyps, and chronic rhinosinusitis. The program features a structured online learning, expert lectures, case-based discussions, surgical video reviews, and clinical exposure, which provides participants with an increased understanding of the endoscopic anatomy, diagnostic imaging, surgical planning, perioperative care, management of complications, and new technologies in rhinology. The curriculum also covers innovations including image guided surgery, balloon sinuplasty, digital health tools, and a multidisciplinary approach to the care of sinonasal disease.
Skills You Will Gain
Advanced understanding of sinonasal anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
Knowledge of the diagnosis and management of chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, and other sinonasal disorders.
Familiarity with endoscopic sinus surgery principles, techniques, and surgical planning.
Ability to interpret CT and MRI imaging relevant to sinonasal disease and FESS procedures.

Familiarity with the management of surgical complications, including cerebrospinal fluid leaks, orbital complications, and hemorrhage.

Familiarity with the diagnosis and management of sinonasal tumors and advanced rhinologic disorders.
Understanding of image-guided surgery, balloon sinuplasty, and emerging technologies in endoscopic sinus surgery.
