Program overview

The Fellowship in Cardiovascular is a comprehensive 12 month advanced training programme, aimed at giving healthcare professionals the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to specialise in cardiovascular medicine. The course includes a component of online learning, a case-based discussion, clinical training, and mentorship for the development of competencies in the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and vascular disorders. Participants have the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge cardiovascular diagnostics, cardiac imaging, preventive cardiology, cardiovascular emergencies and evidence-based treatment strategies. The fellowship equips clinicians with the skills to provide excellent cardiovascular care and to participate in contemporary cardiac practice.

  • Ability to perform assessment and management of cardiovascular emergencies (cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, acute heart failure).

  • Knowledge of the pharmacology of cardiovascular drugs and evidence-based clinical guidelines.

  • Exposure to state-of-the-art cardiovascular imaging and multi-disciplinary cardiac care.
